A well-established private restaurant chain with multiple high-end concepts is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join one of its flagship kitchens in Cape Town CBD. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff during service
- Assist with menu execution, prep planning, and stock control
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen discipline
- Step into the Head Chef role when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
- Background in upmarket or high-volume restaurants
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant culinary qualification preferred
