Sous Chef – Premium Private Restaurant Group

Location: Cape Town CBD

A well-established private restaurant chain with multiple high-end concepts is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join one of its flagship kitchens in Cape Town CBD. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional looking to grow within a structured, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff during service
  • Assist with menu execution, prep planning, and stock control
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen discipline
  • Step into the Head Chef role when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
  • Background in upmarket or high-volume restaurants
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant culinary qualification preferred
